With a Yawn
I've had one huge week of excitement, now I'm on the big come down. Last night I got an amazing 8 hours of sleep, a feat rarely attempted and even less rare to succeed. I actually feel well rested. I'll enjoy that for the next 15 minutes until I'm fighting the droopy eyes again.
My energy level for wtiting for the website is very high, but now I have to come up with something to write about, and it's actually giving me trouble. At first I had a laundry list of topics, which I did write down, but I just don't like any of them right now. dammit. I'll come up with something, it's what i do.
Oh, one bit of excitement, I'm going to see the Yankees play tonight. That's right: THE GREATEST TEAM IN BASEBALL HISTORY. hells yes.
I'm disappointed that I've missed almost every World Cup game so far. I like soccer, I really do, but I just haven't gotten around to watching any of the games. All the drama I'm getting second hand. I'll be surprised if France doesn't adopt instant replay for all of their leagues after getting royally screwed by the officials. Now I partake in a healthy dose of French-bashing (more for the sake of my reading audience then for any actual anymosity), but that was just uncalled for. They might miss the next round because of it. Oh well, fight on Germany! Fight on Sweden!
A note on Sweden: When I was 16, I went to Germany for 5 weeks. It was a great experience, and it was during the world cup. I watched games non-stop. And Sweden was amazing. They were rough, really brutal beating the crap out of the other teams. so much fun to watch. I don't think this year's team is as good, or as entertaining, but I'll probably have a spot in my heart for Sweden because of that Cup.
